# Install Nova Wallet

In order to use the Society dApp, you need to have a Substrate wallet installed.

To install **Nova Wallet**, go to **Play Store** or **App Store**, search for Nova Wallet and click **Install**.

When the installation has completed, open the app.

Click **Create a new account**.

Create a password and click **Create a new wallet**.

Name your wallet.

You will be shown your recovery phrase (also known as seed phrase or secret phrase). Write it down and keep it in a safe place.

**This recovery phrase is as important as your private key; if someone has your recovery phrase, they will have full control of your account.**

After you have saved it, click **Continue**.

The app will need to double check it, you will be asked to paste it back in the correct order. After you have finished, click **Continue**.

Set your 6-digit PIN code and confirm it.

Your account has been successfully set up.
